The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, January 4, 2003 Thomas R. Walker, born January 7, 1948, Leadville, Colo., died Dec. 22, 2002 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a long illness. He lived most of his life in Arizona. Tom's wish was to return to the mountains that he loved. Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Liz and his three children, Misti, Krista and James; his his three brothers, David (Kathryn) of Chico, Calif, John (Shirley), of Post Falls, Idaho, and Marc (Mary Helen) of Douglas, Az.; his Uncle Rob (Jane) of Denver, Colo. and two grandchildren, Anna and Griffen and numerous extended family members. A Veteran of the U.S. Army who served in Germany, Tom was employed most recently by the City of Phoenix. Tom loved outdoor activities including fishing and hunting. He also was an active member of Joshua Tree Community Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a donation be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave. #600 Colorado Springs, Colo., 80903. |
