Gina M. Bader Berg (the Bird) has flown on Nov. 23, 2009, to be with her family in heaven.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate Roy Berg; her father Roy Bader; second mother, Tia Tolpo Bader; her brother Ray; and sisters Valorie Bader, Janet Eichort and Bev Leady. Gina's mother Anita M. Jarolle Bader and her grandparents were there to meet her on her passing.

Born Nov. 11, 1954, Gina enjoyed her childhood playing in rural South Jersey, eating those Jersey tomatoes and blueberries. She graduated from Oakcrest High School after many starring roles and fun with the Drama Rama, making lifelong friends. Her guiding light led her on a remarkable journey, first to California and landing in Chicago where her calling was revealed and she blossomed, enlarging her spiritual families both in Chicago and Italy.

She moved to Prescott, Ariz., in 2004 on the invitation of Bev and Janet that she would find her soulmate and turn over a new chapter in her life. Again, she enlarged her spiritual family and was joined by her parents. She began her healing and yoga practices anew. And then she found the perfect dance and life partner for her, Mr. Roy (Honeyman) Berg, marrying him on Nov. 4, 2008, and fulfilling her lifelong dream.

In addition to being an actress and artist, Gina was a gifted healer, Shiatsu practitioner and instructor, yoga teacher, swing dancer par excellence, comedienne and a compassionate and understanding friend and mentor. Gina completed her journey by embracing all with an openness and passion, accepting her challenges. Her illness was simply the portal to her next adventure and homecoming to God. Throughout her life and to the end, Gina invited all to join her in enjoying every bit of life. Gina's hands and heart touched all and she never let anyone go.

Please join us in a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Unity Church, 145 South Arizona St. in Prescott. If you are moved to send flowers, please send them to Unity. Donations are gratefully accepted to the YRMC Hospice.
