The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, November 21, 2009 Jacqueline Williams 83, resident of Chino Valley/Prescott, Ariz. since 1960 entered into eternal life on Nov. 12, 2009. She was born to Sherman Earl and Myrtle Dutton in Jahcumba, Calif. on July 28, 1926. She graduated from Yuma Union High School. She worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a switchman clerk in Yuma, Ariz. until her future husband, Jack Williams, returned from the Navy in WWII and took over her job. Jack and Jackie were married in Yuma, Ariz. in 1947. Jackie continued to work for the railroad until she gave birth to her first daughter, Debbie. She then began life as a homemaker until returning to work for Dr. Funke in Prescott, Ariz. in 1962 as a dental assistant. She retired as a dental assistant from the Prescott VA in l983. She took great pride in her family and home, hosting many family dinners and gatherings. Jackie was famous for her homemade coconut pie, coconut cakes and her chocolate chip cookies. She belonged to the Monday night bowling league with her close friends Ann Franklin, Buehla Morgan and Yvonne Morgan in the early 1960s. These four women took the trip of a life-time to Europe in 1964 for 28 days where she was moved by the concentration camps at Dachau and inspired by the art and history in Italy. She was always well coiffed by her loved and dear friend Richard Alvarado for 18 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, Marylan Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, Amy Johnson and Joseph Green. Jackie is survived by daughters, Debbie Johnson and son-in-law Bob of Chino Valley, Ariz., Bonnie Babakian of Phoenix, Ariz., Johnny Williams of Nevada; and great grandchildren, Alena Johnson and Riley Johnson. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 50 years Jack, and grandson, Dwayne Johnson. A celebration of her life will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, Ariz. The family wishes to thank Jackie's caregivers from Yavapai County in Home Programs, Hospice Family Care, Teri at Arizona Long Term Care and the staff at Mountain View Nursing Home for their loving care and tenderness during Jackie's final days.
