The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, November 19, 2009 Frank Bahouth passed away in Prescott, Ariz. at the age of 89. He was born in Fayetteville, N.Y. and lived and worked there and in Syracuse, N.Y. for many years before retiring to Arizona. Mr. Bahouth was educated at the American University at Beirut, Lebanon and left when the war broke out in Europe to complete his education at Syracuse University. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force. He trained at the AAF intelligence school in Harrisburg, Pa. and served in the 13th Battalion in the Central Pacific, Northern Solomons, Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, Luzon, Southern Philippines and the Western Pacific. He received eight battle stars upon his completion of duties at the end of World War II. In civilian life Mr. Bahouth manufactured potato chips and snack foods under private label and as Krispy Maid Potato Chips. In 1969 he sold his business to Terrell's Potato Chip Co. Mr. Bahouth is survived by his four children, Candace of Bath, England, Mark of Syracuse, N.Y., Peter of Atlanta, Ga., Lisa of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Martha Lincoln of Glen Cove, N.Y.; a grandson, Joseph of Barcelona, Spain; and several cousins. Burial is private and a memorial mass will be announced at a later date. Information provided by survivors. |
