David Lee Emory, a 14-year resident of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, in Torrance. Born in Memphis, Tenn., David was 79 when he died.

David had served in the Navy during the Korean War. David was a member of Plumbers Local 78, Los Angeles. His personal interests included racehorses.

He is survived by his brother, Calvin Emery of Prescott, Ariz.; sister, Doris Harmon of Bellingham, Wash.; sister, Virginia Taylor of Oceanside, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Emery; and parents, Modena and Rufus Emery.

The Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at White & Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach.

White and Day Colonial Mortuary, Redondo Beach, Calif. assisted the family with arrangements.
