| LaPrelle A. Rathbone Weatherford, 81, Phoenix, wife of former Independence, Missouri, Mayor Robert P. Weatherford, died Dec. 22, 1992, at a hospital in Phoenix. Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1992, at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel; burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence. Mrs. Weatherford was born in Pineland, Texas, and lived in Galveston, Texas, before she moved to Independence in 1928. She moved to Arizona in 1958. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Phoenix. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood. She was a member of the Rathbone Family Association, Fairfax, Va. She was a watercolor artist. Survivors include her husband, Robert P. Weatherford, mayor of Independence from 1950 to 1958; three daughters, Charlotte Marinella and Barbara Andrews of Glendale, Ariz., and Kathy Jacoby, Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
