The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 11/27/2009 Emma M. Yahnke, 91, of White Mountain Lake died Thursday, Nov. 19, at Bannon Springs Ranch in Vernon. She was born Feb. 21, 1918, in Brownfield, Pa., to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (McCoy) McKnight. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, she will be missed by many. Emma was an avid golfer and played until her eyesight prevented her from doing so. She is survived by her son, Joe (Sara) King of White Mountain Lake, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Yahnke in 1991; grandson Joseph Grant King III in 1981, two brothers and three sisters. Private services will be held.
