| Black's Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona William John Thomas (September 24, 1940 - November 3, 2009) William John Thomas, Jr., 69, of Concho, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Hospice Compassus. He was born September 24, 1940, in Pennsylvania, the son of William and Thelma (Ross) Thomas, Sr. He was raised and attended school in Gloucester City, NJ, graduating from Gloucester Catholic School in 1958. He attended USC before serving as a Military Advisor in Vietnam for 3 tours. He had worked as a flight test crew chief for Boeing Helicopters for 40 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the United Autoworkers Union for many years. He was married to Regina Walther for twenty-three years. He moved to Concho in 2000 where he enjoyed reading, motorcycles, guns, tinkering and building things. Survivors include his wife, Regina; six daughters, Michelle Robyn Deal, Cheryl Thomas, Christy Thomas, Julie Thomas, Lisa Thomas and Mellissa Thomas; two sons, Michael Thomas and William Richard Thomas; four sisters, Thelma Pantle, Kate Cleary, Terri Thomas and Eileen Tortella. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date. |
