| Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Harold Kenneth Bowers, Jr. (March 12, 1940 - September 30, 2009) Harold Kenneth Bowers, Jr., of Overgaard, AZ, passed away peacefully September 30, 2009 at Hospice Compassus in Lakeside, AZ. He was 69. Harold was born March 12, 1940 in Houston, Texas to the late Harold K. and Marjorie (Williams) Bowers. On September 10, 1960 Harold married the love of his life, Beverly (Penland) Bowers, in Tijuana, Mexico. Harold was very active in the Boy Scouts of America obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout and serving for over 40 years. Harold worked in the Logging Industry for eight years and was elected as Sheriff of Challis, Idaho. He also served as the Town Marshall in Bovill, Idaho. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Beverly Bowers of Overgaard, AZ; daughter, Dawn Bowers (Keith Steckbauer) of Goodyear, AZ; sons, Kenneth (Felicia) Bowers of Reno, NV, Todd (Debi) Bowers of Clarksville, TN and John (JaRee) Bowers of Overgaard, AZ; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Private services have been held. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1-800-227-2345, 24 hours a day 7 days a week in Harold’s name. |
