Robert LeRoy Kay, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, in Vernon. He was born June 19, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Darrell Henry Kay and Frances Lillian Fowler Kay.

Robert was a very good father; a special caring person who always helped others. He retired from the Glendale Police Department.

Robert is survived by his three children, Gary Robin (Debra Jean) Kay of Vernon; Kathleen Davis of Harrison, Ark., and Michael Dean (Connie) Kay of Prescott; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and brother Richard "Dick" Kay, formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Meacham (Samuelson) Kay (July 7, 2009) and brother Norman Kay.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Owens Livingston Mortuary White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., in Show Low.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Owens Livingston Mortuary with additional visitation one hour prior.

He will be laid to rest along side his wife at the Show Low Cemetery.
