Vera Eleanor Altman
(August 19, 1929 - November 15, 2009)

Vera Eleanor Altman, of Show Low passed away peacefully November 15, 2009 at home. She was 80. Vera was born August 19, 1929 in McAlister, Oklahoma.

She received her Master’s degree in Education from Cal State, CA and taught high school for over 25 years. Vera was a member of the Red Hat Society, The White Mountain Arts Alliance and a Charter member for the museum of Women In The Arts in Washington, DC. She was also a certified financial planner.

She is survived by long time companion, Glenda Morris of Show Low; sons, Brian Altman of Goldendale, WA, Brad (George Takei) Altman of LA; 3 grandchildren; Devin, Reed and Blake; 2 great-grandchildren, Lane and Josie; daughter-in-law, Tracey Morris, Santa Barbara, CA; brother, Bill (Janie) Coulson, Logan, UT. She is preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Mamie McCool and Olive “Boots” Reible.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel.
