Orita L. (Morrison) Wiltrout

Orita L. Wiltrout passed away on December 27, 2002 after battling with brain cancer for 8 1/2 months. She was born in South Ben, Indiana on March 2, 1943.

When she was 15 years old, she moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona. Orita spent most of her life in Phoenix.

She met her husband, Miles, on a blind date set up by their parents in November 1963. Five months later, they eloped to Winterhaven, California. The new couple then settled in Phoenix, Az., where they eventually had two children, Michael and Alison.

Orita's first love was her family. She always put the needs of her husband, Miles, her son, Michael, and her daughter, Alison before herself. She was very involved in the lives of her family.

While in Phoenix, she worked for Dr. John R. Peterson for over 23 years. In October of 1997, Miles and Orita moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. She worked for several dentists in the area, with her last place of employment being with Dr. Calvin Utke. She loved working in the dental field, and always wore a smile as she greeted her patients.

Orita was preceded in death by her father, Andy Morrison, mother, Sara Morrison, and brother, David Morrison.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Miles, her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Wiltrout, her daughter and son-in-law, Alison and David Elder, her two grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Elder, her sister, Sandra King and her family and her brother William Morrison and his family.

Memorial services were held at the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 31, 2002 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in the name of Orita Wiltrout at Air Academy Federal Credit Union, account #132194, 1355 Kelly Johnson Blvd, Colorado Springs, Colo., 80920.
