Suzanne Patricia (Suzy) (Macklin) Zawicki

Suzanne Patricia Zawicki died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, 9:10 AM at Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa, Az. Suzy was born Jan. 18, 1945 in Seattle, Washington.

She attended Washington State University, and later became an accomplished portrait artist, producing commissioned work for private and commercial clients. Through her life, she created more than 100 paintings.

Suzy loved life and her family, and had fun with her grandchildren, Jeanne, Sara, Jessica, and Nathan.

She is survived by her father, Bruce Macklin; sisters Linda and Katy; husband Tom and two children, Laura and Neil.

Suzy will be missed, but her memory and what she contributed to this life continues to bless her family.

There will be a memorial service Monday at 7 p.m. at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 North MacDonald Street in Mesa, Az., at which people may share their memories of Suzy.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Saint Timothy's Catholic Community, 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd. in Mesa. A celebration of life will follow.

In honor of her mother Jeanne, Suzanne requested that memorial contributions be sent to The American Cancer Society.
