MILLY ANDREWS, Arizona

Mildred Elaine Andrews, 75, of Florence, Ariz., died Oct. 25, 2006, in Casa Grande, Ariz., following a short illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial was at Earlham Cemetery.

Milly Andrews was born April 11, 1931, in Des Moines to Floyd and Pansy Gay. In 1947, she married Ted Myles Andrews in Allerton and in 1960, they moved to Dallas County. Milly was first and foremost a farm wife. She also worked off the farm for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper before retiring in 1996. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Charolais Association (international and state) and Iowa Cattlemen’s Association. She also was a county supervisor for Dallas County from 1985 to 1990.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Richard.

She is survived by one son, Myles A. Andrews of Benton City, Wash.; two daughters, Lee “Marilee” Lenahan of Charlotte, N.C., and Marla G. Oberembt of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Milly’s name may be directed to the Dallas County Fair Board in Adel.
