Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg AZ Friday, Sept. 22, 1950 RAMON CONTRERAS FUNERAL SERVICES AT ST. ANTHONY'S Religious rites followed by military rites were conducted Thursday for Ramon Ortiz Contreras who died here Monday morning. The Rev. D. F. O'Sullivan, pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, conducted services at the church in the morning. Members of the American Legion and V. F. W. performed military rites at the grave in Wickenburg Cemetery. He had served with the Navy for two and a half years in the First World War. Mr Contreras, a miner, was born in Prescott on June 17, 1894, and had lived in Wickenburg since 1937. He had been ill since Christmas. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Claudina C. Contreras of Wickenburg; a son, Raymond A. Contreras, who is empoyed in the Safeway Store here; and two daughters, Mrs Mary Macias and Mrs Annie O'Shannon, both of Wickenburg. He is also survived by four sisters: Mrs Ray E. Hall and Mrs Art Lee of Prescott, Mrs Ben Ferree of San Diego and Mrs Francis Scott of Tucson; and by a brother, Luke Contreras, of Prescott.
