Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, April 11, 1952 SERVICES FOR LaVERN MEININGER ARE HELD THURSDAY. YOUNG WICKENBURG RESIDENT DIED TUESDAY MORNING. Funeral services were conducted at the Assembly of God Church Thursday afternoon foe LaVern Meininger who died early Tuesday morning at his home two miles east on the Phoenix Highway. The Rev. Alvin Booher of Peoria, former pastor here, conducted the service assisted by the Rev. Ray Ford. The body was then sent ot Ashland, Ore., for burial. BORN IN OKLAHOMA Mr Meininger was born in Mulhall, Okla., March 12, 1924. He served with Patton's Third Army in Germany from 1943 to 1945, at which time he was given a medical discharge. He has been ill since then. He was married to the former Viris Bell of Turlock, Calif., in 1947. The famly moved to Wickenburg two years ago. A SON SURVIVES Survivors include the widow; a son, 2 month-old Vernon Ray; the parents, Mr and Mrs Albert Meininger of Vancouver, Wash,; two brothers, Charles and Clayton, both of Vancouver; and two sisters, Mrs Neoma Ryva of Vancouver and Mrs Pauline Kerr of Ashland, Ore.
