Robert Anthony Acosta

Robert Anthony Acosta, 36, of Phoenix died Jan. 9, 2009, in Phoenix.
Mr. Acosta was born July 9, 1972, in Santa Monica, Calif. He graduated from Tolleson High School where he was a lieutenant in ROTC.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas Robert and Patricia; five brothers, Joseph, Thomas, David, Daniel and Angel; and three grandparents, Robert Salazar, Nicole Gonzalez and Josefine Sanchez.

Visitation will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crystal Rose Funeral Home, 9155 W. Van Buren St. in Tolleson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crystal Rose.

Robert Anthony Acosta entered into life July 9, 1972 in Santa Monica, California and entered into rest January 9, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona.

He is survived by: his parents;Thomas Robert & Patricia Acosta, brothers; Joseph, Thomas, David & Daniel, grandparents; Robert Salazar, Nicole Gonzalez & Josefine Sanchez, sisters-in-law; Erika Acosta & Andrea Acosta, nephews; Anthony, Nathanial, JJ, Trevon, Angel & Payton, nieces; Lilliana, Mia and soon to be Audrena.

He has a huge amount of cousins and family from Arizona to San Jose. Robert graduated from Tolleson High school where he made it to the rank of Lieutenant in ROTC. He loved to draw and designing video games was his goal. He also loved sports especially the Lakers, Cardinals and Phoenix Suns.

Robert's heart was bigger than his body, he was so loving and happy, selfless, sacrificing and giving. He taught us all how to really live and will truly be missed.

Visitation 5:00-8:00 pm, Friday, January 16, 2009 at Crystal Rose Funeral Home 9155 W. Van Buren, Tolleson, AZ with services 10:00 am, Saturday, January 17th at LDS church 8702 W. Campbell Ave., Phoenix with interment to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale.
