Norman Paul Strauss, 85, of Show Low, Arizona, passed away January 2, 2003.

Private family services will be held.

Norman Paul Strauss

He was born Aug. 1, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a resident of Honolulu and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for many years. He was a newspaper executive, retiring from the Hawaii Newspaper Agency in 1982. Norman was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Battle of the Bulge, where he received a Purple Heart. He was the Master Mason in good standing in Magnolia Park Lodge, Los Angeles, California. He was a righteous man, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his sons Paul (D.J.) Strauss of Chandler, William (partner, Linda) Strauss of Concho; daughter, Gail (Rick) Dupont of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; brother, William Strauss of Chicago, Illinois. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three nephews.

Private family services will be held. Donations may be made in his name to The National Parkinson Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low.
