Harvey D. Anderson, 73, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Friday, January 24, 2003. Mr. Anderson was born in Hadley, Minn. on November 29, 1929, the youngest of three sons born to Oscar and Dale E. (Moberg) Anderson.

He attended Slayton High School, Augustana College and graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Anderson was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the US Army. He distinguished himself during the Battle of Pork Chop Hill on April 16-17, 1953 and was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

In 1956 he moved to the Phoenix area and enjoyed a successful career as a civil engineer and owner of Anderson Contracting Company, Inc.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Audrey I. Anderson; daughter, Janine K. Sweely, Phoenix; son, Winston H. Anderson & wife, Miriam, St. Louis, Mo.; stepchildren, Jeff L. Norris, Kaneohe Bay, HI; Tammy M. Schaefer, Bartonville, Ill.; grandchildren, Jasmine R. & Justin H. Sweely, Daniel & David Norris and Christian & Joshua Ray-Schaefer.

Harvey and Audrey were members of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church where they shared their love for Jesus Christ.

Contributions, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or Hadley Lutheran Church, Hadley, Minn.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the MICU, VA Hospital in Phoenix for the, professional yet personal treatment they gave to Harvey and his family, Pastor Bob for all of his spiritual and emotional support, and to all of our dear family, friends and neighbors that have been so thoughtful and caring during this difficult time.

Services will be held Wed. January 29, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, 1212 E. Glendale Ave, Phoenix, Az. 85020, with Interment Service, 1:30 p.m., National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

A visitation at Hansen's Mortuary on Tuesday January 28, 2003 6-8 p.m.
