Mr. Trauzettel Rites Thursday

Funeral services for Gustav Otto Trauzettel, father of Mrs. W. D. Simpson, were to be held at 1 p. m Thursday of this week in the Presbyterian Church with Dr. Charles S. Poling officiating.

The body was then to be moved to Prescott where the Rev. Carl Hanson of that city was to conduct graveside rites at the Mountain View Cemetery there where Mr. Trauzettel was to be buried beside his wife, Georgia Anna, who died March 24, 1957.

Mr. Trauzettel died in the Simpson home here Monday afternoon after a long illness. He was born October 10, 1869, in Schon Wolkau, Germany, and came to the United States alone when he was 16 years old, settling in southern California. He resided in that state until 20 years ago when he and Mrs. Trauzettel, who were married in 1901, came to Arizona, residing in Wenden, Glendale, Chino Valley and then again in Wenden. He never revisited Germany. He served in the Spanish-American war in which he was wounded.

He was a farmer in his earlier years and later did some mine prospecting.

Surviving, in addition to the Wickenburg daughter, are three other daughters, Mrs. Loreen Ritter of Caliente, Calif., Mrs. Geneva Croswell of Victorville, Calif., and Mrs. Lavon Cooper of Chino Valley, Ariz.; and one son, Edward Trauzettel of St. David, Ariz.

His last remaining brother died in Germany three years ago.
