Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, June 2, 1950 FINAL RITES HELD FOR MRS CARROLL Funeral services for Mrs C. C. Carroll were held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at St. Anthony's Church with burial following in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs Carroll, beloved nurse at the Wickenburg Community Hospital, died Friday morning in the hospital which she served so faithfully for the past three years. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, October 16, 1879, she came to the United States at the age of 16 and lived in Cleveland, Ohio. She was married there in 1907 to Mr Carroll who survives. She and Mr Carroll moved to Wickenburg in 1945. Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs Agnes Eicher, Mrs Martha Tischler and Mrs Betty Enckler, all of Cleveland; and four grandchildren, also of Cleveland. Mrs Eicher was the only one of the daughters able to be here for the services. The Rev. D. F. O'Sullivan officaiated at the services. Pallbearers awere F. H. Wachter, Ben Pollman, Fred Craig, Davis Williams and Colbert Dunnavant, all of Wickenburg, and Charles H. Wilson of Los Angeles. Mrs Carroll had endeared herself to hundreds of patients at the hospital here during the past three years by her kind and considerate manner, her efficiency and her personal interest in all her patients. ______________________________________ FRIENDS PAY TRIBUTE TO THE LATE MRS CARROLL The late Mrs C. C. Carroll was so well liked at the Community Hospital where she served as a nurse that many of her former patients and friends, reports F. H. Wachter, have sent money to the hospital to be supplied to a memorial for her. Some money was received on Monday, the day of her funeral, and $35.00 was received on Memorial Day.
