The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, January 28, 2003 Ben Wong Yee, AKA Seng Wah Yee, 90, of Phoenix, Arizona, passe away January 25, 2003. He was born March 2, 1913 in Canton, China. Ben was a retired businessman and previous ownerof Starlite Market and Family Kitchen. He was involved in several organizations including the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Phoenix Chinese Senior Citizens, Phoenix Chinese Welfare Council, and the Yee Family Association of which he was a past president and Grand Elder. He was preceded in death by his wife Gel Wong and son Gary G.W. Yee. Survivors include, daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gary Yee (May); two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 29th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., A. L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Phoenix. Funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 30th, 10:00 a.m., also at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel. |
