Lester Lee Henderson, 73, Lakeside, Arizona, passed away January 25, 2003.

Visitation: 7-8 p.m., Thursday, January 30th at Owens Mortuary in Show Low, Arizona.

Services: 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 31st at Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McNary, Arizona.

Also one hour viewing and Graveside services in Savoy, Mississippi on Monday, February 3rd.

Lester Lee Henderson

Lester was born and raised in Savoy, Mississippi. The family later moved to Meridian. He came to McNary in 1951 to work at the Saw Mill there. It was there that he met Mable Leslie. They were married March 5, 1953 and have had many years of joy and happiness together. Lester worked as a machinist and after the mill closed in McNary he worked at the mill in Eagar until he retired in 1995.

Lester's later life was dedicated to the service of God. He actively performed his duties as a Deacon for the Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McNary. He as unfailing, generous and loving to all.

Lester is survived by his wife, Mable of Lakeside; two brothers, Leodis (Esther) Henderson of Tampa, Florida and Billy Henderson of Meridian, Mississippi; five sisters, Sadie Mae Lockhart, Grace Hogans, and Myrtis Fountain, all of Meridian, Mississippi, Ruby Lee Chambers of Jackson, Mississippi and Mattie (Lane) Tymes of Texas; one sister-in-law, Olivia Brooks of Pinetop; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McNary with Rev. William Clark officiating. A one hour viewing will be held at the church with grave side services to follow Monday, Feb. 3 in Savoy, Mississippi.

Owens Mortuary of Show Low is handling the arrangements.
