DEAD AT AGE 106 IS EMMETT PLUMMER WHO CAME TO THE WEST BACK
in the gold rush days by covered wagon, was kidnapped by the Indians, and finally wound up in Wickenburg raising melons on the banks of the Hassayampa alongside the bridge approach. The old timer died at Community Hospital Wednesday night. Old age was given as the cause of death.

When he entered the hospital he said he had no known living relatives and gave the name of Guy Benedict of Wickenburg as his closest friend.
