| Cyril James Kalina,70, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Benton County, Iowa, died June 30, 1992, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital-Osborn. Memorial services were Friday in Paradise Valley, Ariz. Messinger Mortuary & Chapel, Scottsdale, in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sons, David and Dennis, both of Scottsdale, and Douglas of Clinton, Iowa; a daughter, Debra Shaw of Camanche; a brother, Charles of Lakewood, Colo.; and two sisters, Lorraine Musel of Chelsea, Iowa, and Maxine Kutchanek of Belle Plaine, IA. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Cyril was born in Benton County and moved to Arizona 32 years ago. He was an electrical engineer and a World War II Army veteran.
