A memorial service for Peggy Ann Thomas of Phoenix, a former resident of the Portland, Oregon, area, will be Tuesday, March 31, 1992, in Sunset Presbyterian Church in Portland. Mrs. Thomas died of cancer Thursday in the Beaverton home of a friend. She was 58. She was born Aug. 25, 1933, in Grand Island, Neb. She grew up in Southern Oregon, graduating from high school in Roseburg in 1951, and then moved to Portland. She earned her hygienist's degree from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1954 and lived in Portland until 1971, when she moved to Arizona. She taught dental hygiene classes at the Dental Hygiene School of Phoenix College. She was a member of Calvary Community Church in Phoenix. Survivors include her sons, Steven J. of Medford and Douglas J. of Aloha; daughter, Terri Ann of Portland; father, Clyde E. Knight of Medford; and two grandchildren. Private burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford, Ore. The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to any local hospice program. The Arizona Republic March 29, 1992 |
