West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 27, 2009 Armida Moreno Vizzerra, 91, of Avondale died Feb. 25, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Vizzerra was born April 8, 1917, in Minas Prietas, Mexico. Her family moved to Arizona when she was 3. On May 8, 1937, she married Carlos Vizzerra. She was a founding member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Avondale where she served as a religious education teacher and Eucharistic minister for many years. She was a member of the Mariachi Choir. She is survived by her three sons, Frank, Robert and Carlos; her brother, Antonio; two sisters, Socorro Cons and Olga Carreno; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos. Rosary and visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 La Pasada Blvd. in Goodyear. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 followed by interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Avondale.
