| West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 17, 2004 Leonidez Alvarez Perez, 67, of Avondale died Dec. 12, 2004. Mr. Perez was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Kearn City, Texas. He married Mary Mermella in 1958, and the couple moved to Arizona in 1971. He worked for the Anderson & Clayton Corp. until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Perez is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary; four daughters, Isidora, Ochoa, Angelica and Deila, all of Avondale, and Rosenda Duran of Queen Creek; four sons, John of California, Mark of Chandler and Joseph and Teodulo Perez, both of Avondale; five sisters, Paula Ponce, Maria Reyes, Stephanie Recio, Sarah Torres of California and Francisca Zambrano of Texas; two brothers, Benito of Texas and Domingo of Wittmann; 29 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at St. William Catholic Church, 11025 W. Third St. in Avondale. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, also at St. William Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale. Crystal Rose Funeral Home made the arrangements. See Also: Find A Grave |
