Wilfred C. Dumas

The funeral for Wilfred C. Dumas was held Feb. 28, 1994, in Avalon Chapel in Tucson, Ariz.

Mr. Dumas died of pneumonia and kidney failure Feb. 22 in a Tucson care center. He was 74.

He was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Yakima Washington. He lived in Portland for 30 years. He worked as a color photo processor for Sawyers for 19 years and as a lithographer for Photolith.

He married Janet A. VanVeen on May 28, 1943. They were divorced in 1970s. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Ignatius Parish for 20 years.

Survivors include his sons, John of Yachats, Bob of Aloha, and David, Ted and George, all of Portland; daughters, Joanne Crlenjak of Ferndale, Calif, Dorothy of Petaluma, Calif., and Sue Melton of Aloha; sister, Natalie Croteau of Eugene; and brothers, Frank of California, Bob of Arizona and Harry of Florida.

Interment was in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Wilfred C. Dumas Memorial Fund, c/o Adair Funeral Home, 8090 N. Northern Ave., Tucson, Ariz. 85704.
