George Dean Ellsworth, 82, Bloomfield, New Mexico, passed away January 26, 2003.

Military Service: U.S. Army.

Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003 from 6-8 p.m., The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Elliot Ward, 10236 S. Greenfield, Gilbert, Az.

Services: Friday, January 31, 2003 at 10 a.m., The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Elliot Ward, 10236 S. Greenfield, Gilbert, Az.

George Dean Ellsworth died Sunday the 26th of January, 2002 in the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. George was born in Mesa, Arizona on July 12, 1921, the son of George F. and Annie D. Ellsworth.

He was a graduate of Mesa High School in 1939. He was a faithful and lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission for his church in the East Central States Mission.

He married Helen Hamblin on the 5th of June 1942 in the Arizona Temple.

George is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Dean (Renda), Richard (Sherri), of Mesa; three daughters, Sharon (Jay) Black of Bloomfield, N.M., Marianne (Deward) Loose of American Fork, Utah, and Georgina (Steve) Faria of Arvada, Colo.

George served his country in the USAF in the Air Transport Command during World War II in North Africa, India, Burma and China.

He was involved in the dairy business most of his life and after retirement he and Helen moved to Bloomfield, N.M. and this is where they were living at the time of his death. George enjoyed growing his vegetables and fruit trees and had great success. He shared his crops with his family, friends and neighbors.

George was loved by many, but especially his twenty-seven grandchildren and his fifty-five great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Thursday the 30th at the Elliot Ward in Gilbert from 6-8 p.m., 10236 S. Greenfield Rd.

Services will be held Friday, the 31st at the Elliot Ward at 10:00 a.m.
