| Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 31, 1958 p. 1 Mr. Maguire's Nephew Dies In Plane Crash Delbert Y. Hewitt of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., age 48, nephew of C. L. (Squire) Maguire of Wickenburg lost his life in a plane crash near Bridgman, Mich., the afternoon of February 15. He was returning from a business trip to Tulsa, Okla., in a 2-engine plane owned by the Leonard Refining Co., Inc. The pilot and co-pilot were also killed in the crash. Mr. Hewitt spent several weeks in Wickenburg last fall visiting his mother, the late Mrs. Bess Hewitt, while she was a patient in Community Hospital here. Mrs. Hewitt died in the local hospital. Mr. Hewitt is survived by his widow, Jean, and two daughters, Nancy, who teaches in Pomona, Calif., and Cynthia, age 14. Funeral services were held in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Hewitt's older brother was killed in an airplane crash 16 years ago. |
