The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona January 31, 2003 Debra Louise Glann, 51, of Scottsdale, passed away on January 28, 2003. Born in Ashtabula, OH, Debra was a talented artist, independent spirit and a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Al Glann, an instructor at the Art In-stitute of Phoenix; daughter Kimberly; parents Genevieve and Ernest Savarise and sisters Susan Savarise, Marla Cusano and Bonna Savarise. Debra attained a BFA from the Columbus College of Art & Design. An award-winning visual artist who worked with paint, printmaking and mixed media, Debra showed her work in New York, Chicago, Columbus, Phoenix, Hungary, Spain and Japan. Debra suffered from Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy and was an advocate and leader for others with disabilities. Her generous heart, sense of humor and beautiful, loving spirit will be sorely missed. Contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, FSHD Research, P. O.
