| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona January 31, 2003 Raymond Edward Matheson, 61, of Mesa, Arizona died January 27, 2003. Raymond was born and raised in Barrington, Rhode Island. He played football for Mesa High School, and graduated from there in 1960. Six years later, Raymond started the Superstition Ranch Market, which he owned and operated for 37 years until his passing. Raymond is survived by his wife Pauline; father and stepmother Edward and Anne Matheson; daughter Sherry Lynn Matheson; brothers Arnold and Peter Matheson; sisters Sue Anne Echols and Debby Porter and grandson Brian L. Matheson. He was preceded in death by his daughter Diana Charle. A visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Friday, January 31, 2003 at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Ave., Gilbert, Arizona. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2003 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2130 E. University Dr., Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Mary's Food Bank. |
