Lloyd Joseph McClane

He was born in Hallam Township, which is now York, Pennsylvania where he grew up and attended school. He joined the U.S. Army at an early age during WWII. He also served in the U.S. Air Force, was a life member of VFW Post 8951 in West York, Pennsylvania.

He worked for Bowen McLaughlin which is now United Defense, a government plant which builds army tanks for the military. He retired in 1986 after 21 years of service. He then moved to White Mountain Lakes to enjoy his retirement. He enjoyed watching the wildlife and being a part of the natural environment.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis McClane of White Mountain Lake; four sons, James of White Mountain Lake, John of Dover, Pennsylvania, Joseph of White Mountain Lake and Jeffrey of York, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Judith Gillespie of Thomasville, Pennsylvania and Jeanne McClane of White Mountain Lake; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
