Ewell), After a courageous battle with cancer, passed to a more peaceful place at 4:45am in his home on January 28, 2003. He was born in Detroit, MI on April 14, 1948 to Mary Alice Montney and Menton Bissonette. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict and moved to Arizona in 1987. He was in the Aerospace industry in both Michigan and Arizona throughout his career. He is survived by his wife, Vernda (Williams) Monette, whom he met in 1994 and they married on May 2, 1999. His mother and her spouse Mary Alice and Maurice Jackson survive as well as brothers, Mike, John, Greg, Maurice and James, his sister, Teresa and Denise and lovingly remembered by his step-daughters and their spouses, Constance and Carroll, Patience and Wesley, Daniella and Adam and his grandson, Darian as well as several nieces and nephews. His father and adoptive parents precede him in death. He was Master Mason and a member of Oriental Lodge #20, Mesa, and a former member of the Elks Lodge, Chandler. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family is requesting that in-lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
