Roberta O. (Ross) Jaggi

Roberta O. Jaggi went to be with the Lord on Jan. 28, 2008, at the age of 89. Born on Nov. 14, 1918, to Walter Clair and Ida Christina (Kirch) Ross in Corry, Pa., she was a Prescott resident and businesswoman since 1965.

She married Marion W. (Bill) Jaggi on Aug. 17, 1938, and they celebrated 69 years of marriage last year.

He preceded her in passing, as did her parents and siblings, Mildred Miles, Eleanor McIntyre, Gerald Ross, Katherine Jaggi and Dorothy Ross; and grandson Matthew Mumford.

Surviving children include Clarice (John) Maloney, Carol (Jerry) Mumford and Phyllis (Neil) Cornell.

She moved from Pennsylvania to San Diego, Calif., in 1959, then to Prescott in 1965. Long-term employments included Aero Supply Manufacturing Co. in Corry, Pa., and Convair Astronautics in San Diego, in positions of high security and trust, before moving to Prescott 42 years ago to establish the businesses of Prescott Vacuum and Sewing and, later, Prescott Clock Shop, plus other ventures.

A celebration of her life will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, in Agape Hall at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St., with the Rev. Carol Mumford presiding. A reception will follow in Mary’s Parlor.

Wakelin Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
