The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 1, 2003 Joseph D. Fushek, 77, of Phoenix, died January 29, 2003. He served his country in the United State Marine Corp. 5th Division, in World War II, was a survivor of the battle of Iwo Jima, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife Jeanne; sons, Monsignor Dale Fushek, Dean Fushek (Tina), and daughter, Lynette Collins-Rivera (Lou). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 3, 2003 at 10 a.m., at St. Timothy's Catholic Community 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd., Mesa. The family prefers donations be made to Life Teens, Inc. 1730 W.
