The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, January 8, 2003 Alvin George King, passed away on January 5, 2003. He was born on October 22, 1926. A WWII Navel Veteran, he moved to the valley in the 1950'S; had a long career in aviation as an A & P Mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman and charter member of Roadrunner Prospectors Club. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Johnnie; daughters, Rose Berggren, Sherian Borbon, Beverly King; sons, Allen King, Ben Surber, Richard Surber, Jeffrey King and nine grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Friday, Jan 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m., Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, Az. Courtesy of Pat Wilson |
