The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, January 8, 2003 Donald Earl Myers, 72, of Payson, Arizona passed away January 5, 2003 in Payson. Born October 24, 1930 in Canton, Ohio. Don served as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy on the Island of Guam during the Korean conflict. He returned to Phoenix and graduated from Arizona State College. Don did many things in his life. He worked in sales, emergency care, landscaping and was a current employee of Mazatzal Casino. He was a charter member of the Orangewood Athletic Association and a proud member of the American Legion Post 69 in Payson. He served as the legion historian and on the Payson Veterans Memorial Committee. Don was a kind and caring person who was always quick with a joke or a helping hand. He was truly a good man who will be remembered fondly by those who knew him. Survived by his wife and best friend of 51 years, Nancylee, sons, Pastor Donald Paul (Joey) Myers of Dover, N.J., David Clark (Karen) Myers and Douglas Earl Myers both of Mesa Az., six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
