The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 1, 2003 Norma Jean Nedd was born July 24, 1927, in McAlester, OK. She was an excellent homemaker, mother and wife. She came to Arizona in 1942 to live with her aunt Johnnie Mae Bryant and her grandfather Rev. R.B. Burch. She attended Carver High School where she graduated in 1944. After a semester at Phoenix College, she married Ernest Nedd in 1946. A life long lover of books and ideas, she took her preschoolers to integrate Phoenix College Nursery School in 1951-52; served as PTA president at Grant School and was an active docent with the Phoenix Art Museum for many years. She was preceeded in death by her husband Ernest E. Nedd Sr. and her parents Lovie Mae Fields and Willie Burch. Survivors include: Sister Aladean (Arthur) Markham. Daughter Pamela Nedd Larson.
