Julia Helene (Larmoyeux) Butler

Julia Helene (Larmoyeux) Butler, 84, passed away at the Chandler Health Care Center in Chandler, AZ, January 29, 2003.

She was born in Jacksonville, FL, May 23, 1918 to the late Pierre and Edwina Larmoyeux.

Mrs. Butler was a World War II Army Nurse Corps veteran and was married to 1LT Jerome F. Butler, Army Air Corps, at the chapel of William Beaumont General Army Hospital on May 10, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Pierre, of West Palm Beach, FL, and Louis, of Jacksonville, FL; and her sister, Mary Luibel, of Fort Worth, TX.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerome, of Chandler, AZ; her sisters, Catherine Millan and Mercedes Pennington of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Barbara E. Gooding and son in law Harry, of El Centro, CA and her son, Jerome K. Butler and daughter in law, Julia, of Woolwich, NJ. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Lisa Gooding, 31, Steven Gooding, 27, Kristen Gooding, 25, Emma Butler, 6, Katherine Butler, 4 and Julianna Butler, 2.

Julia was devoted to the Blessed Mother.

A visitation for Julia will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, February 3, 2003 with a scripture service followed by the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W. Ray Rd., Chandler, AZ.

Full military burial services are planned at the National Cemetery, West Point, New York.
