The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 2, 2003 Velia S. Daley, passed away on January 29th, 2003, after a brief and courageous battle with acute myelogenous leukemia. She was born in Columbus, New Mexico. Her parents moved to Sonora, Arizona and eventually settled in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School, and retired from Valley National Bank after 38 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Henry; sons Edward (Manie), Richard (Suzi) and two granddaughters, Sierra and Selena Rose. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Ave., Phoenix. Inurnment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E.
