The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 2, 2003 Verda Ray Eyring, 84, of Mesa, died on 30 Jan. 2003. Wonderful wife of Wendell Haws Eyring, loving mother of Wendell, Jr., Shirly (deceased), Sandra, Michael (deceased), Patricia, Murr, Dixie, Nicholas, April and Twila. She was the sweetest grandmother of 45 and great grandmother of 55. A retired teacher and librarian. A life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a special child of God who found joy in serving others and serving him. She always had a warm smile and kindness for everyone. A stranger was just a friend she hadn't met yet. She brought happiness and fun into the lives of family and friends. Her nieces, nephews and grandchildren have fond, unforgettable memories of visiting her. There was always plenty of love to go around. You will be missed Verda. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003 from 5-7:00 PM, Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way. Also, one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003 at 10:00 AM, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Udall Ward, 525 E. 2nd Ave., Mesa.
