| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 4, 2003 Mr. James V. Carson, 62 of Gilbert, AZ died Friday, January 31, 2003 in Mesa. Mr. Carson retired in 1992 as international union representative for General Motors. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra J. Gilbert, daughters, Sherri Sweet & Darlene Sweeney, son: Scott Gilbert, 5 grandchildren, sister: Lometa Oxley. Funeral service 1:00pm Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003 in the Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa. Visitation, 5:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday, Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care, 400 S. Power Rd.
