Ernest Kelley Brewer, 79, Tempe, Arizona, passed away January 31, 2003.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 5, 2003, 6-8 PM at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ. Services: 11:30 AM, Thursday, February 15, 2003, Hansen Chapel.

Contributions may be made to Arizona Military Museum, 5636 E. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85008.

Brewer, Ernest K. "Kelly"
Maj Ernest K. "Kelly" Brewer (Ret) US Army of Tempe, AZ, passed away on January 31, 2003.

He was born on February 11, 1923 in Lyons, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife Terry, sons Tim, Ron and Randy, daughter Beverly Amaral, sister Amy Groover, and two grandchildren. His family will remember him as a loving father and husband. He loved being around children and had a passion for gardening. His friends will remember him for his sense of humor, kindness, generosity and loyalty to the military.

He graduated from Army Air Force Fighter Pilot School, at Luke AFB in 1945. A past member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona National Guard Historical Society and Military Museum, he was a Production Manager of the Museum's accomplished historical periodical "The Courier". A graduate of the University of Arizona in 1953 with a BS degree in Pharmacy Science, he operated his own pharmacies from 1963-1987 while also serving as President of the Maricopa County Pharmaceutical Assoc-iation in 1982.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Arizona Military Museum at 5636 East McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85008.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2003, Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix. Services will be held 11:30 AM, Thursday, February 6, 2003, Hansen Chapel.

Interment will follow the services at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
