FORMER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

C. W. Platt, pioneer Arizona mining man died in Atolia, Calif., recently, according to word received by friends here. Mrs. Platt was widely known throughout the state, having resided at Tombstone, Prescott and Wickenburg for many years.

Her was superintendent of the old Monarch mine some thirty years ago, and served as under-sheriff at Prescott in the early days.

He is survived by one son, James Platt of Atolia.

Burial was in a San Bernardino, Calif., cemetery.
