The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 9, 2003 Saul Bart, age 81, passed away on Friday, 6 January 2003, in Glendale, Arizona. He was born on 6 September, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York to Max and Esther Bart. He married Miriam Simon in November 1946. Saul was raised in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Arizona for the last 35 years. Saul was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the European Theater during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Miriam; sons and daughters-in-law, Erie and Judith Bart of Doraville, Ga., Mitchel and Irma Bart of Calhan, Colo.; and daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bryan Johnson of Glendale, Az.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Arizona National Cemetery in Phoenix on January 8, 2003. Arrangements were handled by Sinai Mortuary of Phoenix Donations in Saul's memory can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
