Frank A. Pane, 69 of Gilbert, AZ died on January 31, 2003.

He was born in Geneva, NY on April 5, 1933 to Anthony and Antoinette (Trunzo) Pane. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army with the 121st Evac MASH Hospital in Korea from 1952-1954.

On September 24, 1955 he married Rose Marie Lodestro in Falconer, NY. While living in Falconer, he was involved in local politics and a trustee for the village of Falconer. His career in textiles moved him from NY, PA, GA and NC.

Prior to retirement from the Sara Lee Corp, Hanes Division in 1996 as Senior Manager, his final and most challenging assignment was outfitting 60,000 volunteers and judges with uniforms for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA. He orchestrated the design, manufacture and distribution of 600,000 articles of clothing.

Retirement did not mean a slower lifestyle for him. He became involved with various volunteer organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, and the renovation of the original house at Maggie's Place, a shelter for homeless mothers. He was president of the El Dorado Homeowners Association, a member of the South Mesa Water Quality Assurance Citizens Advisory Board, the Town of Gilbert Neighborhood of Congress, and was responsible for the McQueen Beautification Project from Baseline to Guadalupe.

He coordinated the renovation of classrooms at the Church of the Resurrection. Frank's strong character left an impression on many people.

He is survived by his wife Rose Marie, children Henry (wife (Charlene), Rosanne Stoffers (husband Blake) and Robert (wife Amy). He totally adored his grandchildren Jessica and Jared Stoffers and Ryan Francis and Nicholas Anthony Pane. He is survived by brothers Anthony, Samuel, and Dominic Pane. Sisters are Rose Baumgartner, Joanne Dorgan, Elizabeth Edsall, Virginia Barresi, and Sandra Pane.

He was predeceased by a sister Mary Hopkins. Visitation hours are from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday February 5 at Lakeshore Mortuary.

A funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 1 PM at The Church of the Resurrection on Evergreen St. in Tempe and laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
