Richard Bryan Thomas, 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on September 28, 1938 in Akron, OH.

Richard and his wife moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 12 years ago from Villa Park, CA. He attended high school at Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, VA. Richard was a graduate from Kent State and his career was in transportation. Richard was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Akron, OH; Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles and American Legion. He attended Mount Olive Lutheran Church here in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Judy Thomas; daughters, Christy Hartman of Placentia, CA; Cherie Gibbons of Fullerton, CA; step-children, Carmen Fuller of San Jose, CA; Brenda Milos of Charleston, SC; Adam Overbo of San Diego, CA; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ples and Edith Thomas and brother Donald Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Jim Price. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge.
