She was born April 23, 1913 in Stanford, Conn. to Frank and Johanna Schwartz. She worked as Wikieup Post Mistress and resided in Arizona since 1951. She was a member of St. Joachim and St. Anne Catholic Church in Sun City and the Elks Ladies Auxiliary-Wickenburg Lodge No. 2160. She is survived by daughters Nancy (Barney) Gibson of Bagdad, Ariz., Marie (Ken) Baker of Wickenburg, Ariz., Elsie (Bill) Roepke of Laramie, Wyo., and Fredericka (Dave) Moseley of Peoria, Ariz.; grandchildren Johanna, Fred, Kelly, Barney, Matthew, Becky and Kelsey; 11 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by grandson Barney Bill Gibson and her husband Fred H. Wheadon. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. Funeral Mass is at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2003 at St. Joachim and St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., in Sun City, Ariz. Interment will be at Sunland Memorial Park.
